The mods add even more depth to the overall Skyrim experience by adding some new quests, environments, dialogue, characters, armor, weapons and so much more. One of the exciting aspects of the new Skyrim Special Edition is that the console versions will fully support the PC mods. Also, Gamespot reports that the mods using the 32-bit Script Extender for Skyrim will have to be tweaked in order to run on the 64-bit version of the extender.

In addition, it will have a separate mod creation kit due to the 64-bit feature. Hines also later posted on Twitter that he spoke with the game’s director, Todd Howard, and said that the PC version will be 64-bit, and players will even be able to transfer saves over from the original game. However, with the new game being a completely upgraded Skyrim experience, fans are concerned if they can still use the old, pre-existing Skyrim mods for the new version. This will be a new, updated and remastered version of Skyrim that’s due out later this year. Earlier this week, Bethesda Softworks announced a highly anticipated remastering of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with Skyrim Special Edition.
